beohnir

[ˈbɛɔniə]

A creator with endless ideas, bold visions, and a signature artistic thread that ties every project together. Under the name beohnir, their electronic music dives into the darker, sharper edges of melodic techno, while Beohnir Fades brings dreamy pop and shoegaze vibes to life. Their earlier acoustic works were released under Mihály Orosz, showcasing the roots of a constantly evolving artistry.

  • Film Scores

Movies, animations, games, ads… none of them work without music. These are stories that move us, shape us—where music helps us understand and truly feel. Sometimes it’s a huge wall of sound; other times, just a few notes are enough to pull you right into the heart of it all. Writing this kind of music is pure joy because the final result is this magical mix of sound and visuals, combined with the work of writers, actors, and directors. When it all comes together, it can genuinely change the way we see the world.

  • Songs

Even though a song is short, it’s packed with magic for me. It feels like mixing potions as an alchemist—adding a bit of thoughtfulness, a pinch of sadness, and a drop of dreams. It needs to look beautiful, like it’s bottled in a special, one-of-a-kind glass. Some songs soothe you, others lift you up, and some carry you away as if there’s no tomorrow. A good song can do anything. Most of mine help you dive deep, embrace your sadness, find comfort, and maybe even heal a little.

  • Acoustic & Electronic

This might sound a bit technical, but it’s more than just analyzing sound. A tone has meaning, power—a friend’s voice can make you feel safe. A sound can transport you to the past or take you to unknown, new worlds. But it’s not just about aesthetics; there’s a deeper difference. A tone is a physical thing—it has a body, a texture. As much as I love the piano, there are stories that an electronic instrument can tell much better.

I came up with the name beohnir when I was a kid. It was the name I used in every fantasy game where I could create my own hero. I imagined a wanderer with a brown cloak and a sword, traveling the world, exploring strange places, and meeting all kinds of people. Somehow, that character has stuck with me—and now lives on in my music. (Though their cloak has turned green over the years.)

My journey into music has been just as much of an adventure. It started with acting as a kid, then studying classical music at the conservatory and academy. In my free time, I was always playing in pop music or analyzing film scores. Later, I got into teaching, and eventually, I found myself diving deep into electronic music and figuring out the magic of creating on a computer.

Now, here I am—watching the world, learning from it, learning about myself. I get inspired by others, try to help where I can, and tell stories through my music. I spend a lot of time at the piano, sing more and more, lose myself in the studio, and keep experimenting. And every now and then, I show up with a Beohnir Fades concert or a beohnir live act where we dive into the heavier stuff together. But for every dark, moody track, there’s always something uplifting and beautiful waiting to balance it out. That’s a promise.

Orchestral Score Showreel

Orchestral, classic film score vibes are my favorite playground. Within that, I especially love creating for sci-fi and fantasy projects, but I’ve also written everything from a football anthem to music for historical dramas—and handed them over to directors with pride. I wouldn’t claim to be equally great at everything, but I do like to think of myself as a “musical Swiss army knife.”

Music for Contemporary Dance

I’ve been surrounded by dance since I was a kid. Now, I only write music for it, but if I had another life, I’d spend every day dancing. For me, self-expression without words—and movement itself—is a huge part of how I experience music. The presence, the starting and stopping, the waves, the impacts, bursts, exhaustion, the impulses and touches we share… It’s all there in the music too.

Beohnir Fades (live act)

This project is almost the opposite of commissioned film work. Here, it’s purely me. If someone gives me their time and attention, I can’t fake it in return. I create music about the things that truly matter to me. Sure, it’s harder to capture people’s attention with slow, melancholic tracks, but what can I say? This is what I need to talk about.

Nativity Play

This is a little island of its own in my life. A while ago, we created a Christmas album with lots of acoustic instruments, vocals, and an amazing group of musician friends. The vibe is very similar to American folk styles like bluegrass, country, and gospel—so, pretty far from what I do now as Beohnir. But during the holidays, the food is different, the clothes are different… so why shouldn’t the music be different too?

My music has a way of popping up all over the internet. The film scores I’ve done on commission are mainly on SoundCloud, with a few hanging out on YouTube. As for beohnir tracks, you can find those on streaming platforms like Spotify. This is just a little collection of some of the highlights.
